Caving for Beginners ‘A great way to start your underground journey’

What is involved?
We will meet you at the caving site (local car park or layby). Kit you up with all the necessary caving equipment, usually helmet and headlight. The instructor will provide a safety brief and impart vital knowledge about the cave. Off we go to the cave, have an explore of the caving system.
This course is designed to teach people about how to Safely explore a cave. What procedures you must have in place to stay safe.

Where would you go caving?
Many factors would determine which cave or mine you go down. Factors such as weather, group size, confidence, skill level and historical interest. With caves and mines dotted all over the Peak District from Matlock Bath to Hope valley. We will choose one suited to your location and needs.

How long is the caving session?
The usual length of the session is 2-3 hours [3 hours maximum]. However, if you would like to spend all day in a cave or visiting a couple of caves/mines in the area please contact us. The session length can vary depending on a number of factors, such as group size, fitness and interest.
